The product
How does purple mouthwash work?
Purple sits opposite yellow on the colour wheel, so it visually neutralises yellow tones on the tooth surface at the moment of use. It is the same principle as purple shampoo for blonde hair. This is a cosmetic, optical effect rather than a chemical bleaching one.
Is this the same as whitening strips?
No. Strips use a peroxide gel to lift stains chemically over days or weeks. This works optically and takes effect immediately, but it does not build up the same way. Many people use both: strips occasionally, this daily.
Will it burn?
No. It is alcohol-free. Alcohol rinses sting and dry the mouth out, and a dry mouth is where odour-causing bacteria do best, which is why some people find their breath worse a couple of hours after rinsing.
Does it help with breath as well?
Yes. The box says gentle whitening and fresher breath, and the breath side is the reason a lot of people keep using it. Fresh mint flavour, no alcohol burn.
How often should I use it?
One sachet a day. A box of 20 lasts about three weeks at that pace. There is no loading phase and nothing to measure.
Do I rinse with water afterwards?
No. Tear, swish for 30 seconds, spit. Rinsing with water afterwards washes the effect away.
Will it stain my tongue or my sink?
It is a temporary tint that clears when you spit and does not stain enamel. Wipe the sink if any splashes, as you would with any coloured rinse.
Is it safe on sensitive teeth?
It contains no peroxide and no bleaching agents, which are the usual cause of whitening sensitivity. If you have ongoing dental sensitivity or gum problems, speak to your dentist before adding anything new to your routine.
Will it work on crowns, veneers or fillings?
The optical effect sits on whatever surface it touches, so it can reduce the appearance of yellowing on dental work while it is on. It will not permanently change the colour of a crown or veneer. If you have extensive dental work, check with your dentist.
What is in it?
Aqua, Glycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Sorbitol, Polysorbate 20, Mentholum, Citric Acid, Sodium Saccharin. Alcohol-free and peroxide-free.
Can children use it?
We do not recommend it for children under 12. Younger children often swallow rather than spit.
What does the tongue scraper do?
Most of the bacteria behind stale breath sit in the grooves on the surface of your tongue, where a toothbrush skims over the top and mouthwash runs past. Scraping lifts that layer off. Scrape first, then rinse, so the mouthwash is working on a clean surface.
Ordering
Why are there multi-box options?
One box is about three weeks. Most people order two or three so they are not reordering constantly, and the per-box price drops. The discount applies automatically in your cart, so there is no code to enter.
How much is shipping?
Shipping is free. Every order ships free to Canada, the United States and Australia, with no minimum spend. The price you see on the product page is the price you pay at checkout.
Where do you ship?
Canada, the United States and Australia. We are not accepting orders to other countries at this time.
When will my order arrive?
Orders are processed within 1-2 business days. Delivery is typically 5-10 business days in Canada, 7-15 business days in the United States, and 2-3 weeks in Australia. Estimates come from our carriers and are not guaranteed.
Will I get tracking?
Yes. You will receive a confirmation email with tracking as soon as your order ships. If it has not arrived, check your spam folder before emailing us.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Email us as soon as possible. If your order has not yet been dispatched we can change it, correct an address or cancel it outright. Once it has shipped we cannot recall it, but you can still return it under the 30-day policy.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards, plus Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Prices are shown in Canadian dollars and converted at checkout if you are shopping from the United States or Australia.
Will I be charged customs duties?
For orders to the United States and Australia, duties and import taxes are not collected at checkout. Customers in the United States should note that the United States ended its duty-free de minimis exemption for low-value imports in August 2025, so duties may apply to an order regardless of its value. Where a charge does apply, the carrier or your local customs office will collect it before delivery and it is the customer's responsibility. We would rather tell you this plainly up front than have it arrive as a surprise at the door. See our Shipping Policy for full detail.
Returns and refunds
What is your return window?
You have 30 days from the date your order is delivered to return an item for a refund or exchange.
What condition does the item need to be in?
For hygiene reasons, opened boxes of mouthwash and used tongue scrapers cannot be returned. Unopened items in their original packaging can be returned within the 30-day window. Please include your order number so we can find your purchase quickly.
What if I opened it and did not get on with it?
Email us anyway and tell us what happened. We cannot resell an opened box, but we would rather hear about it than have you quietly write us off.
Is anything not returnable?
Gift cards, opened oral care products and any items marked Final Sale at checkout are not eligible for return or refund.
How do I start a return?
Email VisionalUnison@outlook.com with your order number and the item you would like to return. We will reply with instructions and a return address within 1-2 business days.
How long do refunds take?
Once we receive and inspect your return we will email you to confirm. Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5-7 business days.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the issue. We will cover return shipping and send a replacement or a full refund.
